Spring has sprung and while many get ready for the warmer weather by cleaning and organizing their homes or garages, why not take the time to spring clean your finances as well?! Here are a few tips to help you get started.
Review Your Credit Report: It’s important to keep tabs on your credit report year-round. Make sure you see if your score has gone up or down and what might have caused that. If you see anything out of the ordinary, you can dispute items found on your credit report.
Stay On Top of Your Budget: How are you really doing with your budget? See which areas you might be struggling in and make necessary changes where you might be over-spending and shift some funds away from where you might be underspending to help.
Physically DeClutter Your Office: Paperwork piles up quick and can make working very frustrating. Get all of your statements and paperwork to your bookkeeper so that they can see what needs to be kept and what can be thrown away. A great solution is to have your bookkeeper scan all these types of documents to have a digital record of them and get rid of the physical clutter.
Review Credit Card Statements: Credit card fraud is at an all time high. Make sure you take the time to go through all of your credit card statements and look for any charges that might be fraudulent.
Check on Your Goals: It’s always a great idea to have goals for your professional and financial life (as well as personal). Spring is a great time to see how well you’re doing towards reaching your goals and what you need to do to stay on track.
